Alice & Chris’ Bingham Riverhouse Wedding: A Dreamy Summer Celebration by the Thames

If you’re searching for a London wedding venue that blends elegance, intimacy, and riverside charm, the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond is hard to beat. This stylish Georgian townhouse, perched on the banks of the River Thames, was the setting for Alice and Chris’ unforgettable July wedding, which I had the joy of photographing — from the morning preparations through to their heartfelt speeches.

Morning Light and Riverside Calm

The day began in the Riverhouse’s serene bridal suite, where Alice and her bridesmaids got ready overlooking the Thames. Soft natural light flooded the room — perfect for capturing the quiet anticipation and beautiful details that set the tone for the day.

Meanwhile, Chris and his groomsmen gathered in another part of the Riverhouse, sharing laughter and a few nerves before guests began to arrive.

What I love most about photographing here is how calm and intimate the morning feels — you can sense the river just beyond the window, adding a peaceful energy to those early hours.

A Romantic Riverside Ceremony

Their ceremony took place in one of the Bingham Riverhouse’s elegant rooms, filled with soft light and surrounded by friends and family. Outside, the gardens were in full summer bloom — the perfect complement to a July wedding in Richmond.

From Alice’s emotional entrance to the couple’s first kiss as husband and wife, every moment felt full of warmth and authenticity. The room’s tall windows and Georgian details made it a dream setting for natural, storytelling-style photography.

 Garden Drinks and Candid Moments

After the ceremony, guests flowed out onto the riverside terrace, champagne in hand, as boats drifted by. The relaxed garden reception gave me the chance to capture genuine, unposed moments — laughter, hugs, and that unmistakable just-married joy.

The Bingham Riverhouse gardens really come alive in July — lush greenery, golden sunlight, and a soft river breeze that makes every frame feel cinematic.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at the Bingham Riverhouse

Every time I return to the Bingham Riverhouse, I’m reminded why it’s one of London’s most special wedding venues. The mix of natural light, riverside scenery, and relaxed luxury is perfect for documentary-style wedding photography.

It’s the kind of venue that lets real moments unfold naturally — and that’s where the magic happens.
