A luxury Bordeaux wedding at Chateau Lagorce
Alice and Michael invited me to France in September 2023 to capture their Chateau Lagorce wedding near Bordeax.
It's always an honour to be flown overseas to photograph a wedding and I was particularly excited to return to the "red wine' capital of the world having already visited the year before for a wedding at Chateau Rigaud.
I was keen to produce a timeless, editorial portfolio to coincide with the relaxed yet luxurious party theme. As my style is based around capturing the true moments of a wedding day, I was confident of achieving this.
The whole wedding was planned outside, with the ceremony down on the lower lawn, overlooking the river, with the 16th Century chateau dominating the background. Drinks and dinner were served on the terrance and an Irish acoustic band (The Craic Inn) provided the music.
As the sun set, we wandered into the vineyard for some golden portraits before heading to another terrance where the couple danced carelessly in the rain. A truly romantic end to an incredible day.
