David Boynton Wedding photography and Film visited the incredible Hampton Manor, Birmingham back in September.

It’s always an honour to re-visit one of our favourite local venues, so when Keeley and James gave us that opportunity to film and photograph their wedding, we jumped at the chance.

Keeley began her bridal preparations within the venue, in it’s grand and spacious bridal suite, whilst James and his best man went for a cosier option, using the nearby White Lion pub in Hampton in Arden.

There’s always a strong photo opportunity when the bride’s father sees his daughter in her dress for the first time, and emotions were certainly high on this occasion. Once the tears had been wiped away, he would escort Keeley down the charming staircase, to her awaiting car, which was to take her round the corner to St Mary and St Bartholomew Church in Hampton in Arden, where her groom to be, James was waiting.

There was of course some pre ceremony nerves and happy tears when the couple set eyes on each other for the first time. But the service ran perfectly, accompanied by the talented and able choir adding extra atmosphere to the proceedings.

Following the marriage, guests were invited to mingle in the church grounds where organised one of our epic confetti throws – always a winner with our couples. then everyone made the short walk from the church to Hampton Manor, congratulating along the way.

With the weather kind, guests were happy to enjoy canapes and drinks on the patio, aeroplanes flying low overhead. Hampton Manor is situated close to Birmingham Airport. The planes are always a cool subject for an awesome photograph. Along with some natural guest photos, the other photography formalities were completed. Family portraits and also time to stroll around the venue’s vast grounds. The mature woodland provided a really dramatic backdrop for the bride and grooms photographs and video together.

As the day progressed perfectly, guests started to get hungry, and it was time for dinner, Hampton Manor is famed for it’s unbelievably good food, recently obtaining 1 Michelin Star for it’s culinary excellence. Needless to say there weren’t many empty plates.

Speeches followed food, and a bouquet toss, cake cutting and first dance completed the wedding formalities. Then jackets were removed, heels discarded, and everybody partied the night away. Happy days.
