JESSICA & JAMES – THE MILL BARNS, SHROPSHIRE
Jessica and James, as well as booking David Boynton Wedding Photography and Film, chose to marry at one of Shropshire’s newest, but most popular wedding venues, The Mill Barns near Bridgnorth. A purpose built, oak barn, and one of our favourite local venues to photograph at.
Both the bride and groom got ready in separate rooms within the venue, and there were subtle references to their farming background, with corn in the bridal bouquet and a country style tweet suit for James. The tables were also named after the various cows on their Shropshire dairy farm. The awesome Chloe McCall was responsible for make-up.
The ceremony took pace in one of the impressive rooms, adorned with fresh flowers and milk churns. The impressive curved, wooden beams provided a particularly impressive backdrop to the photographs.
Once the couple had tied the knot, we invited guests onto the large terrace, which overlooks a large pond at The Mill Barns. Here we set up one of our epic confetti throws, covering the newly weds in dried petals. There was then the opportunity to explore the venue’s grounds, a photographer’s dream. We were able to photograph some awesome natural portraits, and give the couple some time out to reflect on their big day so far.
Speeches and food followed, along with a cutting of the wedding cake, which on this occasion was made from cheese rather than sponge. Another quirky addition to what was already a super cool wedding.
There was ample drinking and dancing on the evening, which rounded off a brilliant day.
